what is j.melcena?
j. melcena (‘mel-c-na’) currently sells hand-tied original scarves, but hopes to expand into other areas as well. i started j.melcena in honor of my grandmother, jessie melcena williamson hunter. she taught me how to see and love what is beautiful. among the many, many things she taught me, some of the most valuable are: how to sew (i’m not a very good seamstress…); how to cook (i’m a pretty good cook ); and how to be creative (i’m getting better…). she was an english IV teacher and librarian, so of course she also taught me how to read…and i still love to read today. j.melcena is my way of honoring this precious woman. thank you for choosing j.melcena to help brighten up your life. i hope you enjoy your hand-made creation and will send your friends my way!

Hello. I just wanted to write and say Thank you for a great Scarf.. I purchased a Saint’s colored one from you at the Holiday Home Show Market and LOVE IT.
